Welcome to the Back to School Store

Our store is a unique shopping experience not like any other retail store. It is set up exclusively to serve Title 1 elementary schools in Maricopa County that receive a matching grant from us under our Student Attire For Education Program. Who qualifies for the S.A.F.E. program?

  1. Schools must be classified as Title I schools in order to place an order.
  2. Schools not chosen for matching funds in the spring grant cycle can be placed on the waiting list for the fall grant cycle. If you do not receive a grant and are a Title 1 school you may still buy merchandise through this program at our reduced pricing.

About our merchandise packaging program

  1. Our packages of merchandise have been prepared by professional merchandisers who have studied previous distributions of merchandise to determine the most appropriate sizing allocations for your schools.
  2. All of the “bundled” products are individual items (shirts, shorts, etc) sold in bundles of 12 pieces. When you click on the item icon, it shows the content, colors and sizes. You can only buy products in 12-piece “bundles”, not as single pieces of merchandise.
  3. All clothing products comply with FDA and CPSIA 2008 product safety requirements. All school supplies are non-toxic.

  1. All purchasers must fill out a SAFE application first. (See top of this page for instruction.) All schools must be designated as a Title I school.
  2. Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust Funds cannot be used to purchase backpacks or school supplies.
  3. 3. SAFE matching funds can be used to purchase all products.
  4. All purchases for SAFE Schools (matching funds) MUST SPEND ALL DOLLARS ON SAFE MERCHANDISE.
  5. All Title I schools that do not receive a grant must purchase a minimum package of at least $500 or higher.
  6. All packages in Maricopa County will be delivered FREE.
  7. All purchases will be taxed per Phoenix tax 8.3%
